Thatcham, UK, 12 September 2019: PHABRIX is pleased to announce its Qx rasterizer and handheld Sx TAG were successfully tested against the criteria for AMWA NMOS TR-1001-1 and SMPTE 2110 at the recent JT-NM Testing Interop in Wuppertal, Germany.

The JT-NM Tested Program, a program designed by the Joint Task Force on Networked Media (JT-NM), offers prospective purchasers of IP-based equipment more and better-documented insight into how vendor equipment aligns to the SMPTE ST 2110, SMPTE ST 2059 and AMWA NMOS TR-1001-1 standards. The results will be published in the IBC 2019 JT-NM Tested Catalog.

Qx Rasterizer
The Qx ST 2110 “JT-NM Tested” core IP feature set provides an operator all of the ST 2110 confidence status monitoring in an intuitive and accessible manner. Designed for HD/UHD IP ST 2110/2022-7/20226 and AMWA NMOS* environments, the core toolset supports simultaneous decapsulation of 1 video, 2 audio and 1 ANC Data flow supported SMPTE protocols include ST 2059 (PTP) ST 2110-20 (Uncompressed Video), -30 (PCM Digital Audio), -31 (AES3 Transparent Transport) and -40 (ANC Data). ST 2022-7 seamless protection (SIPS) is provided for all four flows over two media network interfaces using industry standard SFPs.

Audio handling conforms to ST 2110-30 Class C with support for 48Khz streams from 1 to 8 channels at packet times of 1ms and 1 to 80 channels at packet times of 125us. Also provided is an indication of the timing relationship of each of the eight ST 2022-7 flows to PTP with status information, as well as a ST 2022-7 status tool that reports the health and relative timing skew of each ST 2022-7 pair all with hardware time stamping.

Advanced Qx ST 2110 measurement tools include the provision of up to four simultaneous Packet Interval Timing measurement and displays, detailed data reporting of flow packet, clock rates and PTP timing relationship, as well as IP Receive statistics that includes the measurements of the ST 2110-21 Network Compatibility model (Cinst) and Virtual Receiver Buffer Model (VRX).

Sx TAG IP
The Sx TAG offers comprehensive support for modern broadcast IP systems with JT-NM Tested encapsulation and decapsulation of ST 2110-20/30/40 with IP to SDI gateway, ST 2059 PTP as well as ST 2022-6. Hybrid operation is supported with a built-in synchroniser that allows asynchronous SDI sources to be locked to PTP for ST 2110 encapsulation. Additionally, analog Sync pulses locked to PTP can be generated from a decapsulated ST 2110 PTP locked source.

PHABRIX CEO, Phillip Adams, said, “We’re delighted with the results from the recent JT-NM testing in Wuppertal. PHABRIX is committed to complying with the growing list of standards our industry is facing, with the JT-NM program offering a trusted reference source for our customers. IBC comes at a fantastic time for us to show the industry all the advanced and leading IP capabilities we have to offer on both our Qx rasterizer and handheld Sx TAG.”
