Thatcham, UK – 24 October 2023: Test & measurement innovator, PHABRIX, has announced that it is to showcase an extensive selection of its most popular compact and handheld Test and Measurement (T&M) solutions at Inter BEE 2023, which takes place at the Makuhari Messe, Japan, from 15-17 November. Exhibiting with parent company Leader Electronics (Booth 6304), PHABRIX plans to demonstrate the QxP waveform monitor, QxL compact rasterizer, and two advanced handheld toolsets: Sx TAG and SxE.
Described as the largest comprehensive media event in Japan, Inter BEE is a vital meeting point for professional vendors and end-users to engage, experience and interact with the accelerating evolution and future of media. For PHABRIX, it has long been a mainstay of the annual trade show calendar, providing an opportunity to meet with existing and potential new customers from across Northeast Asia, and present the latest fruits of its dynamic R&D operation.
For this year’s Inter BEE, the company is foregrounding some of its most popular portable, compact and handheld T&M solutions, with an emphasis on supporting both legacy SDI and next-generation IP workflows. A stalwart of the PHABRIX range, the QxP was described upon launch as the company’s first example of a traditional Waveform Monitor – albeit ‘with a twist’. Providing 12G SDI and 25G IP professional monitoring, the QxP inherits all the class-leading features and flexibility of the QxL rasterizer and incorporates an integral 3U multitouch LCD screen, integral V-Mount or Gold-Mount battery plate, integral mains PSU and 12v external DC input. The QxL itself will also be on show, offering a powerful specification that includes support for ST 2110 and 2022-6 on generic 10G/25G SFP28 interfaces – enabling it to address today’s real-time UHD UP workflows on 25G networks with video payloads up to 21Gbps.
Underlining its ability to cater to broadcast needs at base and out in the field, PHABRIX will also be demonstrating a few of its most acclaimed handheld devices. The Sx TAG advanced generation, analysis and monitoring toolset is ideal for IP, 3G/HD/SD-SDI, optical SDI, HDMI and analog T&M, as well as AES eye analysis, for applications that demand true mobility and ease of use. Also on show will be the SxE advanced SDI physical layer toolset for deployment with 3G/SD/HD workflows.
Martin Mulligan, CEO at PHABRIX, comments: “Inter BEE is one of the most important trade events in Northeast Asia and a hugely valuable opportunity for us to engage with existing and prospective customers. Many broadcasters in the region are now in the process of migrating from SDI to IP-based operation, and our solutions – which include many hybrid IP/SDI products – are ideally suited to making this process as smooth as possible. We look forward to showing Inter BEE visitors how beneficial our devices can be in implementing and, subsequently, monitoring and maintaining next-generation workflows.”
