PHABRIX QxL Wins 2020 ‘Best of Show’ Special Edition Award, Presented by TV Technology

PHABRIX QxL – 25G IP Rasterizer, manufactured by PHABRIX Ltd, is a recipient of Future’s 2020 Best of Show Special Edition Award, presented by TV Technology.

The QxL is the world’s most flexible UHD-25G rasterizer, created to address the needs of professional broadcast media IP networks in a compact form factor.

The QxL inherits all the JT-NM Tested features of the Qx with a common look and feel across both platforms. Out of the box, this 25G/10G IP enabled rasterizer supports JT-NM TR 1001-1:2018, 2110-20 (video), 2110-30 (PCM audio), 2110-31 (AES transport), and 2110-40 ANC media flows all with 2022-7 Seamless IP Protection Switching (SIPS), and independent PTP slaves on both media ports for fully-redundant media network operation.

The toolset also provides support for DHCP on all IP ports, unicast DNS-SD, AMWA NMOS IS-04 Discovery and Registration, IS-05 Connection management, system resource, and Network Topology Discovery using Link Layer Discovery protocol (LLDP).

IP media interfaces are provided as standard and 12G-SDI media interfaces with optional SDI Eye and Jitter measurement are available as a factory fitted option. The flexible user-friendly GUI provides up to 17 user-configurable windows with presets for rapid visualization of different traffic and workflow configurations and a comprehensive set of Quality Control tools for exacting Broadcast applications.

A suite of operator level IP flow health and PTP monitoring tools are provided with warnings and alarms. For detailed analysis and debug, the new IP-MEAS toolset provides advanced engineering-grade information including four 2022-7 Packet Interval Time (PIT) histogram displays, media port network statistics, real-time measurements of Flow to PTP relationships, latency and real-time indication of ST 2110-21 Cinst and VRX measurements.

“Our thanks to the many companies that participated in this year’s program under such unusual circumstances,” said Paul McLane, managing director of content in Future’s B2B media technology group. “It’s clear from the nominations and the outstanding winners that despite the current health crisis, technology innovation remains strong in our industry.

Future’s Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry. A Special Edition of the award program was held this year in the absence of a physical NAB Show, with entries judged on their written nominations.

Winners receive an award for display and will be featured in TV Technology, the industry source for equipment buyers in the broadcast, cable, production, corporate and new media markets.

All nominated products will be featured in the Best of Show Awards Program Guide, to be distributed in digital edition form to more than 95,000 readers of Radio World, TV Technology, Digital Video, Video Edge, Government Video, Pro Sound News, Sound & Video Contractor, Broadcasting & Cable, Next TV and TVB Europe in coming weeks.
