Job: Senior Software Engineer

Main activities:
As a Senior Software Engineer you will be part of a small team of multi-disciplined engineers developing state of the art products for the professional broadcast market leveraging the latest developments in C++ and Qt. Your involvement will be from specification through implementation and testing, to customer support. You will be expected to be able to work unsupervised with minimal external input, and also lead small teams and manage sub-projects.

Specific Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:
• Leading the specification and system design of new products and features
• Embedded Linux full software lifecycle
• Test driven software development
• Software documentation
• Mentoring junior engineers

Essential Requirements:
• Object orientated system design
• C++ 11/14 software development
• Embedded processors

Knowledge of the following technologies would be an advantage:
• Qt or other demonstrable UI/UX experience
• Embedded Linux
• Human Computer Interaction
• Linux BSP/PSP
• Linux System Administration
• Python
• ReST
• Java
• Git
• Broadcast video and audio standards
• Hardware/firmware interaction and control
• Driver development
• Multithreaded software development

• Attending courses or training where recommended
• Support other departments within the company
